Anna Jermolaewa Chernobyl Safari - Vienna Würstelstand

The English speaking magazine. Making the most out of Vienna and life.

Since the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, the area around the reactor of the nuclear power plant has become a nature reserve. Lynx, wolves, eagles, wild horses and other rare animals live in the almost deserted, feral area under the influence of radioactive contamination.

Russian photographer Anna Jermolaewa went on a safari to the exclusion zone to document the local wildlife. Her photos can be admired at this exhibition at MAK starting March 9th!
