If we were being truthful about it, the Indie Post-Punk quartet from Philadelphia Church Girls are made up of three guys and a girl. Don’t let that put you off, though. They’re touring their latest EP ‘Cycles’ and are all multi-talented instrumentalists, performing on a mixture of guitar, trumpet, organ, wurlitzer and violin. Their latest songs deal with ending relationships and the responsibility of setting boundaries for loved ones who have often succumbed to drug abuse, but are not as sad as all that. Their sound is a cross between Pixies and Summer Camp.

Recommended if you like: Indie Post-Punk, girls who are actually mostly boys, androgyny, multi-talented people, making it sounds like you’re going to church when all you’re actually doing is going to a sweaty gig
