You can tell you’ve been spending too long trying to learn German when automatically hear the name of this Christmas classic as “Dee Hard” in your head. While scenes of red nosed reindeer and eggnog are few and far between, this tale of action, skyscrapers, and Bruce Willis in a skimpy vest has been established as unmissable viewing at this time of year. Regardless of whether you’ve seen it a million times, or somehow managed never to have seen it, there’s really no excuse for skipping this one.
Recommended if you like: muscle-clad men in clothes so tight they might as well be naked, yelling “Yippee-ki-yay!” when your Dad is carving the Christmas goose, films from the 80s, pretending to be a cop, writing your address as ‘The Nakatomi Building’
