Kishi Bashi is the multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter Kaoru Ishibashi, who may be familiar to you as a founding member of Jupiter One, as well as having been in of Montreal. He went solo in 2011 and his music is described as being like a “chemically induced intoxication” (one that, to us, sounds a bit like Fleet Foxes with added violin). This tour is in support of his latest album ‘Omoiyari’ where he’ll be doing clever things with loops, showing off the kaleidoscopic character of his compositions.
Recommended if you like: Fleet Foxes, of Montreal, Yes, singer-songwriters, multi-instrumentalists, Indie Pop, dreamy music to accompany you staring at the clouds, relaxed, chilled afternoons, making out on a couch in public, reading the romantics
