The WU continues its fascinating lecture series, this time tackling the syntactical quandary of gendering. This has been a hot topic in the decade just passed, and while some think anyone with nipples should be able to consider themselves whatever gender they please (we apologise to the nipple-less for our discriminatory tone), for others it has become either a mantra or a nuisance. The discussion will be focused on the relationship between gender and sex, how language reflects our society, and how language relates to our thinking.
