The Vienna based Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, a youth orchestra (surprise surprise), was founded to support young talents from former Communist countries. This week, they’ll play a gig – pardon – a concert, at the Musikverein with Vladimir Jurowski as their Maestro. Part of the evening’s programme will be compositions by Prokofjew and Schostakowitsch.
