Austrian painter, Herbert Brandl, is one of the most important ambassadors of Neo-Expressionism. He produces large-format works, celebrated alongside the most successful contemporary painters in Austria.
The majority of his paintings are landscapes, with a particular focus on the monumentality of mountains-capes. This exhibition at Belvedere 21 showcases the work he has produced over the past two decades, including pieces created especially for this show.
