Even though Amedeo Modigliani has been plagued by poverty, strokes of fate, drug excesses and severe illness his whole life, he turned his misery into something very beautiful. Something beautiful that is now worth millions of euros. Modigliani seemed to be fascinated by the female elegance which is exactly what most of his paintings are focused on.
