In depth tour of soon to be ending exhibition
Secret Vienna Tours: Das Wiener Aquarell – Schätze der Malerei
When: FRI, April 20, 4pm–6pm
Where: Albertina
Entry: 35€ available here
This exhibition at the Albertina, will put Viennese Watercolor in the spotlight. The Golden Age of this kind of art was during the Biedermeier era (that’s 1815 til 1848, in case you didn’t know, and yes, we had to google it as well). If you’re interested in this kinda’ art, the exhibition will be closing very soon, and this Friday afternoon there will be a tour hosted by the Secret Vienna tours crowd. Over the course of two hours, you will be looking at the 200 odd paintings that make up the showacse with interesting little tid bits and stories about the paintings thrown in by your guide, as you go. The tour will be in German.
Recommended if you like: art history books, practicing your pensive face in front of the mirror, getting inspired by art, not so secret tours, catching an exhibition just before it finishes, any excuse to leave work early on a Friday
