Experience a wild and wonderful Estonian fantasy on the big screen
Til Midnight Movies: November
When: MON, January 27, 10pm–12am
Where: Schikaneder
Entry: TBD, buy a ticket
This series of movie nights hosted by Schikaneder does exactly what it says on the tin: it screens films and they end at midnight. This time around it’s Estonian film ‘November’, a fantasy drama written and directed by Rainer Sarnet, based on Andrus Kivirähk’s novel Rehepapp ehk November (“Old Barny aka November”). Right from the start, the audience has to put their regular viewing expectations behind them (SPOILER: that’s because you’ll see a cow carried over a village by a mini helicopter made of scythes, at the centre of which is an animal skull). We can see you clicking for tickets right now!
Note the film is being screened in OmdU (original Estonian version with German subtitles)
Recommended if you like: foreign language films, Fantasy drama films, watching films with subtitles while wearing those bifocals perched on the end of your nose, weird & wacky films, All Saints’ Day, modern fairy tales
