Wiener Weinwandertage 2022

Vienna looooves its wine and there is a weekend at the end of this month during which half the city can be found up on the wine hills surrounding the city, throwing back bottles of the liquid of the Gods. The Wiener Wandertage has grown to be an epic event in the calendar at which hundreds flock to the hills and hop from one wine heurigen, or Buschenschank, to the next.

Expect some queues and to walk like penguins in parts of the trails where it gets narrow and crowded, but all in all it’s a hell of a lot of fun. For more details about the two-day festival, be sure to check out the Vienna Tourism website.
