MARKTkino: The Florida Project

When: THU, July 4, 9pm–11pm
Where: Schwendermarkt
Entry: free!

The Florida Project was one of our favourite films of 2017, with its pastel-hued look at life just outside the gates of a certain theme park featuring a mouse with big ears (if any lawyers are reading this, yes, we are talking about RodentWorld). It’s a comedy drama (Comrama? Dramcom?) about a bunch of misbehaving kids, who occasionally walk through such beautiful scenery, you’ll be snapping photos of the screen, printing them at Libro, and setting up a stall with the resulting prints at an art fair. Get on down to this outdoor screening of it (and view our guide to Vienna’s Open Air Cinemas if you like this kind of thing). See the trailer here:

Recommended if you like: the kinds of films that make you want to print out the frames and hang them on your wall, pastel colours, watching films outdoors while sipping from a flask of dubious liquid, open air cinema, arthouse films, the colour purple (the colour, not the film), superb cinematography
