Fado is a traditional genre of music from Portugal, which is characterised by its mournful nature, and often containing lyrics about the sea or poor people. Grande Dame Mísia is one of the most famous artists of this style and is gracing Vienna with a “best of” concert. Word on the street is that she has been known to perform mournful songs of a more modern nature, namely Joy Division’s ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’. Listen to her here:
