An afternoon of talks on Europe’s identity during Brexit
The Future of Europe in the Shadow of Brexit
When: MON, September 2, 4pm–8pm
Where: Haus der Europäischen Union
Entry: TBD, advanced registration required
While the world becomes taken over by blond floppy-haired idiots, and we stockpile baked beans and catfood (hey, we’ll eat anything, come the apocalypse), perhaps there is light at the end of the tunnel. Despite a few power-crazed maniacs trying to tear the world apart, the European Future Forum and New Europeans are hosting an afternoon of talks that focuses on togetherness. Questions raised include ‘Where do we develop the solidarity that underpins a stronger sense of European identity?’, ‘Who does the EU belong to, if not the citizens?’, and there’s an opportunity to sign the ‘Exit from Brexit’ petition.
Recommended if you like: the E.U., intellectual events, going to intellectual events to eye up the beautiful international people there, Funkadelic’s ‘One Nation Under A Groove’, talks & discussions.
