Austro-British musician Alicia Edelweiss is based in Vienna and began her career at the age of 19 on a two year exploration of Europe with no money and just a guitar. While she was on these travels, she developed her own genre: Circus Freak Folk, which we think sums her up pretty well. Her songs cover themes as diverse as homelessness and cockroaches (which, after some thought, are not so far removed from each other). Her touring band features an accordion, a ukulele, a guitar, a cello and a violin.
