Drawing Friday

A special opportunity to make art in the presence of masterpieces

Drawing Friday

When: FRI, January 3, 5pm–7pm
Where: Albertina
Entry: 1€ borrowing fee for clipboard & pen + museum admission required, pay on the door

If, like us, you indulged a little heavily in the Eierlikörpunsch and promised your family on the spur of the moment you’d buy them a Munch or a Picasso for Christmas, you’ve got a chance to do the next best thing (well, at least in time for Orthodox Christmas). Drawing Friday takes place on the first Friday of the month at the Albertina and on this occasion it’s taking place in their Munch Chagall Picasso exhibition. Grab your pen and paper and take the opportunity to produce your own tortured version of The Scream in the presence of some genuinely awe-inspiring art. The artist and art teacher Wessi Benderlieva will also be at your side with lots of great advice.

Recommended if you like: drawing and sketching in art galleries, Munch, Chagall and Picasso, making your own art, interesting events in galleries and museums, pretending you’re 4 and sticking your paintings on the fridge
