If you’re one of those sportlich types who likes to go to extreme lengths, perhaps you’d want to participate in the International Vienna New Year’s Eve Run. It starts at 11 a.m., so there’ll be plenty of time to shower and make it to the New Year’s party. The route (as always when you’re running in Vienna) is stunning: Ringstrasse, the State Opera, Hofburg, Parliament, and the Burgtheater.
