Two men, two fake surnames and a large number of major films. Albert and Mel Brooks are seen as the inventors of Modern Comedy. While Albert is said to be the creator of cringe comedy, Mel is the forerunner for contemporary slapstick. From December 22nd until January 9th, the Filmmuseum is screening films by these two Modern Comedy stars. So, grab a friend you think will be intrigued by filmmakers as much as you are (or who is nice enough to go there with you even though they aren’t) and find out more about those men with the same name, profession and genre, but whose work is incomparable!
