The L.A.-based artist, Rachel Mayeri, is exploring topics where science meets art to encourage critical thinking. In recent years, her work was inspired by the exploration of apes and monkeys, as well as the microbiome and environmental degradation. In a guest lecture series called Nonhuman Kingdoms: A Fantastic Journey from Primates to Microbes“ at the Uni für Angewandte Kunst this Tuesday, the artist will talk about her video experiments. The event is open for everyone and won’t cost you a buck. Just sayin’.
