Salvador Dalí has created some of the most famous surrealist paintings and was a key figure of the art genre. That’s a well-known fact. But did you also know that Dali was as obsessive as a teenage girl fantasizing about marrying Justin Bieber? Well, maybe it wasn’t that bad, but he certainly had a deep obsession with the works of a certain Sigmund Freud. We can’t help but imagine how Dalí might have been kissing a picture of Freud good night before drifting off to dreaming about meeting his idol.
This exhibition at the Belvedere is here to showcase all of his fanboy era glory and features various works and items that explore the influence Freud had on Dalí’s artistry.
