This Wednesday is Aschermittwoch which marks the beginning of the fasting period. Traditionally, fish is eaten on this day and, boy, does the Bootshaus serve up plenty of it! There is going to be a whole mouth watering buffet consisting of salads, soup, main dishes and dessert. Everything seafood related of course (well, except for the dessert). So why fast when there’s a feast instead?

Recommended if you like: fish, seafood, stuffing yourself one last time before the fasting begins, breaking the fasting on the second day and feeling guilty, eating a lot because you feel guilty, realising again why you don’t do fasting
