Herwig Zens used to sketch and write about his life on copper plates EVERY DAY. He did that until he passed away in 2019.
The first 28 years of it were documented on a huge sheet of paper with a random erasing technique, which is currently regarded as the longest etching in history! One of the three copies of this masterwork, which is held by the Kunsthistorisches Museum, is on display now along with other art pieces where Zen participated.
