Die grossen Meister

Check out some of the best Rennaisance work in a Viennese church

Die grossen Meister

When: Daily, 10am–6pm, until December 2
Where: Votivkirche
Entry: 15.50€ (11.50€ students), buy your ticket here

The Votivkirche is hosting a Renaissance exhibit, featuring realistic replicas of some of the most famous works of art in history. The idea is to faithfully reproduce, and bring together in the one place, celebrated pieces of art you’d have to travel all around Europe to see. Some highlights include Da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa” and “Last Supper” paintings in full size, Botticelli’s “Birth of Venus”, Michelangelo’s “The Creation of Adam” and even an original size replica of his “David”. If you’re an art aficionado, you can’t miss it. But don’t worry – it’s on until December!

Recommended if you like: the Renaissance, art history books, getting inspired by art, the Italian Renaissance, innovative exhibits, reading rather large books
