A talk on what feelings are and how machines can learn how to feel
Digital Emotions II Eva Hudlicka and Helmut Leder / AIL-Talks
When: TUE, March 13, 7pm–10pm
Where: AIL – Angewandte Innovation Lab
Entry: free!
Artificial Intelligence and robotics need improvement on their emotional behaviour and how they look like (and we’ve seen these aspects in sci-fi movies). In this talk series at the AIL, Digital Emotions, the state of the art and how those issues could be resolved will be addressed by international experts from AI, robotics, and biology. In this Tuesday’s second edition, Eva Hudlicka and Helmut Leder will answer questions such as why humans have emotions, how robots could recognize them, and what they could learn from dogs. If you’re interested in the future of robotics, you should be at the AIL this Tuesday then, it’ll be free.
Recommended if you like: I, Robot, living on the unusual side of life (wherever that may be), futuristic things, dreaming of owning a robot name Jeeves, having someone in the family know what to do when the robots attack, getting freaked out, the Matrix
