An ‘explosive’ theater play about one of the biggest issues of our time
Homohalal
When: THU–SAT, April 26–28, 7:30pm–9:30pm
Where: Werk X
Entry: 20€
There is no avoiding the hot and controversial issues surrounding the Arab world and the 65 million displaced refugees around the world in this supposedly powerful piece from the Syrian/Kurdish author, Ibrahim Amir. We haven’t seen this play yet, so can’t vouch for how good this play is, but the content it’s playing with makes it worth checking out. If you’re interested in the xenophobia being experienced in relation to the millions of refugees on the move, and how homosexuals struggle in the Arab world, then this play is worth checking out.
Recommended if you like: plays dealing with issues of our time, thinking outside the box, having controversial conversations of the dinner table, reading rather large books, going to the theater
