Put on a smile while watching this film about a slightly…disturbed clown (no, not Pennywise)

Joker

After several remakes starring this villainous character, one would think there isn’t much more to learn about the Joker. ‘So he’s batshit crazy, what else is there?’ Oh, how wrong this assumption is. Todd Phillip’s Joker isn’t simply about how the iconic green-haired nemesis to Batman became who he is. The story touches on real problems in our society today, including mental health issues, and other factors that led to the downfall of Gotham city. Watch closely, and you might think the Academy Award-winning film was based on true events.

Recommended if you like: watching horror or drama films, making love in blue lit public toilets, reading philosophy books instead of magazines, that weird kind of Nordic darkness, making comic book references in real life, calling them graphic novels and not comic books
