Catch a gut wrenching live reading on the revolution of 1848
Lesung “Revolution in Wien”: Hagnot Elischka & Gerhard Naujoks
When: TUE, March 19, 8pm–10pm
Where: Die Turnhalle
Entry: TBA
Two actors will be doing a live reading of passages from the diary of a Jewish journalist living in Vienna in 1848. The tales will be of every day life in a revolutionary environment. There will be beautiful imagery to set the scene as well. Learn about Vienna’s history and most likely be glad you live in 2019 instead of 1848.
Recommended if you like: Viennese history, live readings, when people find someone else’s diary and read aloud from it in front of an audience (that’s why we keep ours in a safe), wearing your reading glasses at the tip of your nose
