Martin Klein & Simon Rainer live – Erbsenfabrik

A rare opportunity to catch two highly talented musicians reunited

Martin Klein & Simon Rainer live – Erbsenfabrik

When: SAT, September 28, 7:30pm–10pm
Where: Turnhalle at Brick-5
Entry: Free!

Vienna-based songwriter & pianist, Martin Klein, is teaming up with his old Jazz guitarist pal, Simon Rainer, for this very special concert. In their younger days, they performed as part of the legendary free jazz band, “ekkord,” in the underground scene in Vienna and Berlin. Martin Klein plays the kind of music that is so cinematic, you don’t need the cinema part to see the visuals. His voice has been compared to that of Thom Yorke, which is certainly no bad thing. Meanwhile, Simon Rainer’s guitar playing has been described as “technical skills that are virtually limitless”. Basically, these guys are pretty darn’ talented.

Recommended if you like: watching Donnie Darko with the lights off, Radiohead, intelligent music, chilled gigs, highly talented musicians, cinematic film and music, Jazz guitar, Free Jazz, dreamy vocals.
