MELTDOWN. A Visualization of Climate Change
When: June 5–September 1
Where: Naturhistorisches Museum
Entry: 12€, buy a ticket
Perhaps a climate science denier might start to waver on their views if they experienced this Vienna summer, what with its hot hot heat, brief and crazy hailstorm intermissions, followed by more crippling heat. Vienna’s Natural History Museum (Naturhistorisches Museum) is currently showing an exhibition to highlight climate change, specifically the vanishing of glaciers, through the medium of art. Created by climate change charity, Project Pressure, it shows the impact of glacier loss through a variety of media.
Recommended if you like: being greener than a bunch of Schnittlauch, thinking about ice in the summer, telling people to watch Greta Thunberg’s TED talk, thinking outside the box, being socially active
