‘We are the name we carry, but we are not responsible if somebody uses it wrong.’ – this is particularly true for a young Saudi Arabian guy who arrived in Austria during the summer of 2015. His name is Jihad. With the negative connections people make to this word, which is often translated to mean to struggle against the enemies of Islam, Jihad faced many challenges when creating his new life in Austria. And he’ll be telling his story in a performance on stage, at Spektakel this Friday night.
