With a cunning son, a witty daughter, and parents who listen to their kids more than the other way around, the Kim family appears to have the perfect survival instincts. When the financially challenged family sees an opportunity to live in luxury, the word ‘hesitation’ does not even seem to exist in their vocabulary. This six-time nominated (and four wins) Academy Awards film gives you a wildly imagined scenario of what happens when two worlds meet, interact, and ultimately collide. Once the effects of this modern Korean depiction infects you, it’ll be hard to shake it off.
