Puccini’s La Bohème

Have a more cultured Christmas than everyone else at the opera

Puccini’s La Bohème

When: WED, December 25, 6pm
Where: Wiener Staatsoper
Entry: Sold out, sign up to the Waiting List

Could there be anything more Christmassy in the city of opera than seeing an opera based on Christmas Eve? Admittedly, it’s set in Paris, but it could just have easily been here as the plot revolves around a young poet, an artist and their landlord celebrating in their flat (basically like all of us, right?). As it’s an opera, it may not surprise you to hear that there’s love, sickness and death involved, but of course there are some rather famous songs, so if you can get a ticket it’ll be worth the effort.

Recommended if you like: Opera, being a culture vulture, having a far more highbrow Christmas than your friends, looking through those little binoculars to watch the hot people in the audience, drinking a champers at half time
