Hosted by the venerable Salam Orient, Salah Ammo showcases years of traditional Syrian and Arabic music on the hallowed stage at Porgy and Bess. Growing up in a multicultural environment is often confusing, but the Kurdish-Syrian musician lets his music do the talking and has arranged a diverse evening showcasing a host of unfamiliar West-Asian instruments with interesting names, like Bouzouk and Dolcain.
