‘Science Fiction in the Park – Margareten Film Nights’ is bringing sci-fi movies to Bruno-Kreisky-Park. This year it will feature movies from the Combloc—countries with communist regimes aligned with the Soviet Union during the Cold War.
The festival kicks off with ‘The Silent Star’ from 1959, a movie about a team traveling to Venus, based on a book by Polish author Stanislaw Lem. It wraps up with ‘KIN-DZA-DZA!’ (1986), a cult classic, that is essentially a Soviet version of Dune. So, obscure movie buffs, your time is now!
