Vegans look away  – A festival dedicated to meat in an former cattle shed

Steak Festival and Burger Days – Vienna BBQ Days

When: SAT–SUN, July 14–15, 10am–10pm
Where: Marx Halle
Entry: Free

Did you know the Marx Halle was once a cattle shed? So it makes it quite fitting that a festival dedicated to meat and grilling up all kinds of it, is being held there. Now, we don’t recommend this to vegetarians. Now, to describe to you what is on offer, besides the obvious: meat. There will be grill masters from all over, grill spots for you to grill your own meat on, competitive grilling shows with prizes, as well as stalls spruiking all the possible grill equipment for the passionate grill master that you could imagine. This Steak Festival is also combined with some kind of Burger festival at which all kinds of burgers will be boasted by different pros’. So you get the picture – there will be a lot of meat. And naturally, some amber/gold liquids of various flavours will be there to wash it all down with.

Recommended if you like: meat sweats, eating your own body weight in meat, grilling and smoking anything you can find, brisket, all the cuts, American style meat, all the sauces – especially the ones that make you extra thirsty for some amber gold liquids, wearing baggy clothes, moving the belt strap to make some extra space, BBQ, medium rare steal. wiping meat juices from your face
