Having grown up in the Austrian countryside, he began being in conflict with his farming background. On moving to the city to study dance at the opera, he soon learnt that ‘farmer’ was an insult, but instead of being insulted, he began to explore the conflicts within himself, his upbringing, and where he was now. Part tradition, with yodeling and modern dance, this Sunday you will explore how the modern world encroaches on one man’s life, while the weight of tradition sits on him.
