American photographer Susan Meiselas showcases a variety of topics through her works, including war, revolution, cultural identity and feminism.
Her series ‘Mediations’ documents the Nicaraguan revolution. In ‘Carnival Strippers’ she portrays the working conditions of women stripping at carnivals in New England and the project ‘Prince Street Girl’ follows young girls from little Italy over 17 years through puberty up to adulthood, showing changes of their lives, bodies and social standing.
This Wednesday will be the opening of her exhibition at the Kunsthaus. It’s free to attend, just be sure to register via mail beforehand.
