A second treat this week for lovers of 80s-style music (the other being Drab Majesty), The Midnight are a fusion of Synthwave musicians Jamison Tyler Lyle (Atlanta) and Tim Daniel McEwan (L.A.). They met on a co-writing workshop in Hollywood and were inspired by the ‘Drive’ soundtrack, both of which facts are apparent in their music. Their release ‘Nocturnal’ spent several weeks as a best seller on Bandcamp. Bascially, they’re hip as fudge.
