They Shoot Horses, Don’t They?

Theatrical production following the crazy story of a guy trying to make it in Hollywood

They Shoot Horses, Don’t They?

When: SUN, September 22, 19:30pm
Where: Volkstheater
Entry: 9–55€, buy a ticket

Based on Horace McCoy’s 1935 novel, ‘They Shoot Horses, Don’t They?’ this adaptation brings to life the story of Robert Syverten, a young man from Hollywood dreaming of becoming a film director. As you can imagine, it would be boring if he just got the job, so instead the story involves dance marathons, sex and murder. As the Volkstheater have done with many of their productions since 2016, the performance will be accompanied by German and English subtitles.

Recommended if you like: theatre productions, competitive dance, supporting theatre companies, being a culture vulture, learning how not to become a director in Hollywood, seeing a play in German while reading what’s happening in English.
