All the pub quizzes in Vienna every night of the week

Is your head full of random facts? Are you a pro at answering hard questions like: “‘I told you I was ill’ are the words carved into whose gravestone?” while becoming slowly intoxicated?

The pub quiz is a great reason to grab your brainiest friends and head out on a weeknight. Luckily, Vienna has a raft of places where thousands of Euros can be won. Here’s a list of Vienna’s best pub quizzes:

Four Bells – Pub Quizzes

How many questions? 20
Language: English and German

Difficulty factor (in their own words): intermediate.
What to expect? Plenty of general knowledge, music-themed questions. Lots of free shots. The lack of big money prizes takes the ruthless competition factor out and replaces it with a good atmosphere, with more of a focus on fun.

Molly Darcy’s – Pub Quizzes

Prizes: the winning team on the night gets a 30 € voucher for Molly Darcy’s. There’s also a jackpot that regularly grows into the thousands which can be won if every question is answered correctly. There’s also a bonus Jameson question which will win a team a bottle of … you guessed it: Jameson whiskey. There’s also a pub quiz league at Molly Darcy’s in which regular teams compete to win a separate jackpot at the end of the season.

Difficulty factor (in their own words): It’s not the easiest quiz. There’s a real mix of general knowledge questions.
What to expect? This is one of the city’s most popular quizzes which attracts a lot of hardcore quiz junkies, along with quiz tourists. Plus: kiss the bald barman Chris on the head for potential bonus points!

Prizes: There’s a jackpot that regularly accumulates into the thousands which can be won if a team answers all the questions on a night correctly. Otherwise, the 1st prize is a 30 € voucher for Shebeen. There are also plenty of bonus questions that will win you free shots.

How many questions? 20
Language: English (questions can be clarified by the quizmaster who also speaks German)

Difficulty factor (in their own words): You gotta’ know your shit. Probably head back to college for another 5 years before attempting the Shebeen quiz.
What to expect? Plenty of good music being played in between questions. There are many regulars that turn up for this quiz every week.

What to expect? This is Vienna’s longest running quiz and the downstairs space where it’s held is full every week with a mix of hardcore quiz junkies, and people in it for the fun.
