Maria und Josef – New in Vienna

Missing the Mediterranean vibe during this cold and gray Vienna winter season? Well, we can definitely relate, which is why we suggest you take a much needed break at Rahlgasse. Enjoy new creative vegetarian combinations with a Mediterranean/Oriental touch, along with 50 different wine options ranging from Austrian classics to modern and organic choices. Of course, there are also some interesting seafood and meaty options.

Rumor is, you won’t just stay for the elegant yet casual interior, but also the staff has really good taste in music and will satisfy your hearing senses with their personal playlist. Our mischievous side wants to request Backstreet Boys just to see if they’ll do it.

So go for that romantic dinner. Or go for a solo dinner, meet someone there and get romantic. Just an idea…

C.O.P. – New in Vienna

This new addition to the Vienna scene promises instinctive and honest cooking based on what the region and season has to offer. Sounds good to you? A restaurant that cares about the ‘Collection Of Products’ and where they come from. A mission to embrace the natural taste without over-seasoning and to use cooking styles you didn’t even know existed.

Whether it’s your thing or not, this will definitely be an absolutely unique food experience. For example, you’ll eat vegetables prepared in ways you’ve never even heard of. This Biberstraße joint doesn’t only offer an authentic and charming atmosphere, but has really understood the concept of amazing sustainable taste.

M1NE – New in Vienna

What’s the combination of land and sea elements in food called in professional ‘cuisine language’? Any clue? No? It’s called ‘Surf & Turf’.

In case you just learned something new – you’re welcome! And in case you’re hungry and curious now, we suggest you go check out M1NE at Naschmarkt, which is definitely your turf (& surf) if you like a combo restaurant and bar. Their own signature drinks such as ‘Limoncello piccante’ and gin refined with Earl Grey tea will take you on a good surf (& turf) for sure. But seriously, this is your place if you’re looking for an afterwork bite and/or drink.

Burning Oak logs, 107 degrees and 16 hours of smoking… That’s the recipe for great meat and vegetables à la Dallas (Texas) style. (Anyone else salivating yet?) Along with that, you can choose from five beer options straight from the barrel or take a meander in a (yes, you’re reading this correctly) walk-in-refrigerator to select the wine of your dreams. If this sounds cool to you, then maybe it’s time you take a seat in one of the modern leather chairs at the spacious Oak107 venue at Mariahilferstraße and enjoy some brisket, pulled lamb, burgers, Texas BBQ (also vegetarian) or just some Mac & Cheese.

Tatarie Marie – New in Vienna

This is a good one if you’re strolling around Vienna and suddenly your hangry inner voice starts saying hi. You know that something needs to be done quickly before your inner voice turns into your outer voice. It didn’t end well the last time this happened.  .Well lucky you because ‘Tatarie Marie’ at Freisingergasse can help you with that. Their broad Tatar variations including high quality meat, delicate organic-fish or even plant based will definitely solve your tiny problem. Not to forget their biggest mission: Making good choices in terms of responsibility and sustainability. So yeah, only the rawest and best for you there. Oh, and we heard it almost feels like you’re sitting in a small art gallery. Yes, please!

A bakery at Bäckerstraße in Vienna? Yes, you definitely are in the right place.  Not only can you watch the bakers prepare their masterpieces but also enjoy the artwork…hold on, we meant pâtisserie of course. But yeah, supposedly you cannot tell whether you’re eating art or baked goods, and apparently you also immediately feel their French love coming your way when entering through the doors.

Dazwischen – New in Vienna

Sandwiches and burgers made for you to enjoy. A seasonal menu, self baked buns (and who doesn’t love self baked buns) and no palm oil usage in this place. This could be THE next great taste experience you’ve been looking for – especially if you haven’t had a really good sandwich in a while. Supposedly their secret weapon is their fries’ seasoning along with a great beer selection. The corner restaurant at Pramergasse is waiting for you.

You can choose between a nice hidden patio or the inside, which will make you feel like you are sitting in a super cool living room. Now close your eyes and imagine yourself sipping a crafty cocktail and enjoying some Viennese inspired cuisine. Ooops. You dribbled a little bit of cocktail on your shirt. This always happens when you drink with your eyes closed. But, in spite of the dribble (or maybe even because of it) this is just your type of evening. So get on out there and we’ll even meet you there.
