Cocore – New in Vienna

MON–SAT: 11:30am–9:30pm
SUN: closed

cocore.at

An extraordinary new addition to Vienna’s already fine selection of pizza restaurants. Cocore opened its doors in December and their approach of serving food with love is sure to win a place in your pizza loving heart! Cocore offers the best of both worlds, as a casual to-go pizzeria by day and a fancy à la carte restaurant by night. The atmosphere changes depending on the time of day and so does the shape of their pizzas, from rectangular Roman style during the day, to traditional circular pies in the evening.

And if you think you’ve had them all when it comes to pizza, Cocore’s selection of seasonal toppings means you’ll get to try funky, maybe even the funkiest, versions of this Italian staple!

WILDLING Foods – New in Vienna

SUN–MON: closed
TUE–SAT: 4pm–10pm

wildling-foods.at

veggie- & vegan-friendly

When it comes to sustainability, the owners of this restaurant know how to walk the walk! They don’t just talk about it, they actually take actions. What a wild concept, right? Regional food from carefully selected suppliers, a low-waste mindset, no artificial additives, and tradition mixed with international elements are the (not so) secret ingredients of the slow food that’s being served at this new eatery. “What’s slow food?”, you may ask? In a nutshell, it means you’re not just there to stuff your face until you have to open the button of your jeans (and sometimes even the zipper!), but to savour and celebrate the pleasure your taste buds are experiencing.

At Wildling Foods, you can either taste your way through the menu by ordering the wildest tapas or, if you know exactly what you want, just order a normal-sized meal. And if you’re the kind of person that usually orders the same soft drink whenever you go out, their in-house drink creations will definitely give you a chance to leave your comfort zone!

Laus & Maus – New in Vienna

Daily: 11am – 6pm

Schanigarten (al fresco garden) available

Some Viennese parents go to the park with their kids and when there’s no place to get their beloved melange, they just complain. When that happened to the power couple of Katharina and Paul Kessler, they decided to open their own café! And the result is Laus & Maus at Währinger Park. Now parents can peacefully watch their children fighting and throwing dirt (or whatever great ideas kids get at a park) with a tasty brew in hand, while enjoying a delicious organic snack.

The whole family worked together on this café, showing off their DIY skills, with super cute results! And when you visit, it doesn’t feel like just another café, it’s more like enjoying a cup of coffee in your friend’s cozy living room. Oh, and of course, Laus & Maus welcomes you with open arms even if you don’t bring a child.

The Truth – New in Vienna

This well-loved 9th district café now brings us a new location smack dab in the centre of Vienna. Unlike most coffee places, the Truth doesn’t just shelter you from the hustle and bustle of the city, they arm you with strong Italian coffee and homemade sweets, so you can get back out there, feeling reinvigorated.

The next time you’re strolling around the First District and crave the comfort of a sweet, sweet dessert (perhaps a rich cheesecake or creatively filled Krapfen?) or the power of a bitter, bitter coffee, you know where to go!

Goldener Papagei – New in Vienna

Two words: Specialty coffee and plants! Ok fine, that was four words. But really, do we have to say more or are you already convinced and planning your trip to the newly opened Café Goldener Papagei?

Their philosophy is to keep things natural! That’s why they serve unwashed and all-natural specialty coffee as well as natural wines and snacks with regional ingredients.

Whether you’re a proud plant-parent, a serious coffee addict, or a wine gourmet (or someone who likes to act like one even though you secretly just like getting tipsy), this fresh destination on the Praterstraße is worth a try.
