1683 Handmade Bagels & Farm Coffee – New in Vienna

“A round piece of history – the bagel, Viennese since 1683” – that’s this new bagel/coffee shops statement of existence. Another little place opening in the 9th district (our prediction: watch for exciting new places opening up in this district over the coming year). 1683 Handmade Bagels & Farm Coffee celebrates the bagel, that is rumoured to have been invented in our lovely little city of Vienna, and is now experiencing something of a revival in this town. All bagels are made in the narrow, yet roomy cafe on Währinger Straße. There’s a selection of types and of fillings  (chicken breast, avocado, etc), and there’s also a kosher and a vegan bagel on the menu. Also, as the name would suggest, the coffee is an artisan affair, as well.

We also recommend… a cinnamon-raising-bagel filled with chocolate cream!
