Bisamberg – hiking trails around Vienna

Distance: 10.5km

Difficulty: even if you end up drinking a carafe of wine in Stammersdorf, you’ll pull this off easily

Located in the 21st district, the hiking trail around the Bisamberg is quite popular.

This trail known as the Stadtwanderweg 5 will have you walking around this beautiful hilly area for 3 to 4 hours on a 10.5 km trail.

As you’ll start near Stammersdorf, we highly recommend you get a couple of glasses of wine in before you hit the trail. If you want to hold out until a bit later on the journey, you can always stop in at a Heurige (wine tavern) in Sterbersdorf.

The grape vine studded meadows of the Falkenberg boasts 25 acres of gorgeous greenery.  It works as a good picnic spot, as well, if you like to plan in plenty of food stops in with your hiking.
