Mill – Best outdoor dining

About the Schanigarten: this place lies tucked away in a side street off of Mariahilferstraße. Most people would most likely walk by, since it looks rather unremarkable from the outside. However, once you walk through the entrance into the courtyard, you’ll know what’s all the big deal about when it comes to Mill.

Their Schanigarten boasts a rustic (and somewhat Asian-influenced) charm that’s hard to beat in terms of cosiness. With all the greenery, wooden furniture and tranquil atmosphere, you easily forget that you’re not far from one of the city’s busiest streets. Or that you’re in a city at all.

About the food: regional and seasonal specialities; from classics like Schnitzel to creamy chanterelle risotto. Plus, most of the ingredients are sourced organically and regionally by the creative people in the kitchen. Oh, and they host one of the most popular weekend brunches in town, and we’re guessing that has something to do with its garden.
