Senhor Vinho – Portugal in Vienna

Senhor Vinho is a beloved Portuguese restaurant, with a flavoursome menu that changes regularly.

Each day boasts a new concoction of what Senhor Vinho’s serves up, depending on what seasonal ingredients their suppliers have on offer.

Having set the place up in 2004, the two brothers and owners of the restaurant are able to translate Portuguese hospitality in a way that combines it with a twist of Viennese.

Our starter was veal’s heart – rich and lovely – while we were fortunate enough to have the simply prepared octopus dish – delicious.

The menu is refreshingly straight to the point, with only a few options. They stick to what they’re good at, meaning there’s plenty of seafood dishes to choose from. And yes, they do have Pastéis de Nata.
