Our first episode will have the cake lovers twitching as their sugar cravings start kicking in when we join a patissier in the kitchen at Vienna’s award-winning patisserie, Creme de la Creme (Lange Gasse 76, 1080, Vienna ).

Crème de la crème is one of the youngest additions to the Viennese pâtisserie landscape, but it seems like it is the place that Vienna’s been waiting for – no matter the time, this place is drawing people in like a lamp attract moths. The beautiful interior makes this place a welcome hangout if you want to escape the greyness of a day. The interior design has the elegance of the tarts and pastries created out the back, and served up here. Nevertheless, the real stars here are the pastries: des tartes.
Crème de la crème tartes are the finest pieces of edible handicraft you’ll find this side of…well, France. The colours and compositions seem like a painter has been at work on them, meaning the presentation is magnifique! Their croissant was also awarded the best in the city last year. We’d agree with this claim to fame.
Also to be found here: great choux pastry, a mousse au chocolat tarte and the most beautiful macarons in Vienna!
