While a wet and rainy day may stop uyou from getting out there and having some of that outside Spring fun you love, you’ve got to admit, there are some irresistibly charming things about rainy days in Vienna – That distinct smell before it rains. The way the city’s lights, and people, reflect in the puddles and the glistening cobblestones.
OK, we’ll stop. We can imagine that you’re doing that cringe you do when something’s getting a little too sweet and romantically-charged.
Anyway, even if you hate rainy days, the pictures below should (atleast almost) make you come to appreciate them in Vienna.
How the streets glisten…
and how the grand old building’s roofs provide just enough shelter for you to run along their walls, and stay relatively dry…
and how you can almost catch in a photo a whole street reflected in a puddle if you get down low enough…
and those moments when you can watch the rain hit the window of an old red and white tram from the inside…
and when the sky starts to clear sometimes after a day of rain to reveal scenes like the one above…
or the rain continues into the night and makes the old city centre look even more charming.
