So the Vienna Würstelstand editorial office got a USB in the mail a week ago. Our first thought was – who uses USBs anymore?
Our 2nd thought was – Who still sends things by post, for that matter?
Our 3rd thought was – could it be anthrax?
Anyway, we opened it up on our intern’s laptop (we didn’t want to get any potential viruses on ours – just kidding 😉 and found a short video on it. We watched it.
In the video, some anonymous camera guy follows a couple of graffiti artists underground, into the driver’s cabin of a train, into subway tunnels and into underground graffiti galleries that are kind of revered amongst the people that know about it.
Obviously, plenty of the things done by the people in this video is highly illegal and obviously we don’t encourage anybody to do this, or anything similar.
However, like we guess you do, we’ve always wondered how graffiti artists spray their pieces on walls at the top of high buildings and how all the tags & other graffiti make it into Vienna’s U-Bahn spaces. This is a rare, fascinating look at the graffiti underworld of Vienna.
Disclaimer: we did not have anything to do with the production of this video. We received it from an anonymous source. To also repeat – we do not promote any of the illegal activities carried out in this video.
