Introducing our new video series, Vienna’s History Mysteries – where we seek out the mysteries of Vienna’s past and try to solve them. Sometimes we succeed, sometimes we fail. Most importantly, we always learn a whole bunch of really interesting stuff about Vienna!
For the first episode, our host, Samantha Pyra, explores the mystery behind a mysterious medeival tree trunk with a bunch of nails hammered into it. Located directly across from Stephansdom, it’s known as Stock im Eisen and you’ve probably walked past it a hundred times without even noticing.
